John of Warwick, born around the year 1390 in the County of Warwick, to a yeoman farmer and his wife, he was the seventh of nine children.Brought up as a farmer and a free man,John was taught to shoot the long bow from theage of seven.He left home at twelve to travel to London and entered service as an archer in the town garrison.In 1414 he was taken,with the King,to fight the French and fought in 1415 at the battle of Agincourt.On returning home he returned to farming
