Henry was the son of William de Faucumberg and was born circa 1275.Married to Elena daughter of Robert de Hertford he inherited lands at Catfoss in Yorkshire on the death of William in 1295 and in 1295 was granted the Manors of Catfoss and Barleburgh in Derbyshire and given the estate of Cukeneye Manor by his brotherJohn. Henry was the Commander of Array for Yorkshireand served against the Scots from 1322 -1323.He became the Sheriff of Nottingham and Derbyshire on the in 1318 and became a Knight of the shire of Yorkshire in 1324.Henry also became the Sheriff of Yorkshire & the Custodian of York Castle in 1324.
