Born in the City of Lincoln in the year 1325, in a small dwelling shadowed by the Cathedral, her father is owner of a small fleet of merchant sailing ships and her mother a seamstress.
She is the younger of two daughters and spent her days learning to sew,practised the longbow and horseriding.
Whilst out one day, shooting her longbow, she tore the hem of her dress andit was, as she sat attempting to repair the damage, Henry de Faucumbergfound her and she was invited to join his household as seamstress, in return a wealthy victim (umm.. suitor) may be found for her.
